“Buenos Aires means “fair winds” or “good airs” and possibly polluted water” according to our guide who was not very proud that the water was so polluted with industrial waste that there was no swimming or fishing allowed. Nevertheless, we enjoyed beautiful mid 70’s weather and a very informative four hour tour of the city. The city looked good, in fact, much better than it looked ten years ago when we were last here. It is a beautiful city with wonderul parks, plazas and lots of activity.

photo being restoredWe started out early in the morning and beat the president to work. We saw his daily commute helicopter arrive at the capital. Jenni also got a shot of the presidential protection force shown at the top of the blog. Nearby we visited the Metropolitan Cathedral, who’s former bishop is now Pope.
