Jenni and I met during our freshman year of Highschool at a Bible club which served the two adjacent towns we lived in, in New Jersey. By our sophomore year we were convinced we would someday marry. We did…almost seven years later when we both graduated from College. While we have just completed our 51st wedding anniversary, we have actually been going together since 1961 which is a long time ago. I was fifteen and Jenni was fourteen.

After graduation from Cedarville University in Ohio, (Cedarville College in those days) we moved to Dallas, TX where I attended Dallas Theological Seminary. I had a Bible minor in college and I had two more years of theological studies, Greek and Hebrew language studies at Dallas before I realized that the academic life was not for me.

We both taught school for a short period and then Jenni became a stay at home mom and I began a decades long sales and marketing career which culminated in the founding of Logos Bible Software, now Faithlife Corporation, with our older son Bob who left Microsoft to co-found the company. As it turns out, my theological education was perfect preparation for a career in Bible software. Our younger son Dan has also been in the business all these many years.
