To hear our guide say Uruguay, it almost sounded like Hawaii with the “u” and the “r” almost silent. Well. . . what an interesting place. It is a tiny country with huge neighbors, Brazil and Argentina. Some say it has the highest standard of Living in Latin America. I don’t know, but it looked prosperous and felt safe.
