photo being restoredThe ordinarily curios giraffes weren’t thinking about us today as they batted their necks together in play. But sometimes it’s deadly serious and one of the giraffes here has only one ossicone to prove it.
I had thought that the wildebeest were large until today when we encountered them alongside the cape buffalo. I couldn’t believe how huge the buffalo actually were! I am very sure I don’t want to encounter them on a hike!

photo being restoredShawn knows I always want to see the dung beetles and he did an amazing job of finding this one as he drove along the road — one lone beetle with his ball of dung at the very beginning of Spring. And he was pushing his ball UPHILL!
