Hippo Lakes trip

Our trip is almost over and here I am just beginning the blog. We are in Capetown tonight and finally have reliable internet. The country has been experiencing an internet problem so we didn’t try to do the blog. And besides, we have been so busy we didn’t have time. It has been a fabulous trip!

THe campus at Hippo Lakes is beautiful. They raise some of their vegetables in these “tunnels” and the nyala roam freely all over.

Some background: Hippo Lakes is the game resort of Teach Every Nation, a ministry which produces practical video training on biblical topics. The game resort is a commercial enterprise which helps to fund the South African campus where men and women from many African countries and around the world come to learn about the video courses and how to use them in their area. During our two weeks at the campus we stayed one week in the very nice accomodations for the world leaders and the other in the tents where the game resort guests stay. Our party consisted of Dale and I, Luke and Gary Nims and Dan and Barb Eschbach.

During our stay we had the joy of getting to know men and women from about 20 countries. We ate together and played together and learned together — it was an amazing education to learn firsthand what is going on in the kingdom of God around the world.
