Geelong (as in Jelly) Don’t worry. We were just as confused by the name and pronunciation as you. In fact, we were even further confused. We thought we were going to Melbourne. Instead of Melbourne we anchored in the Geelong Harbor some forty-five miles down and across the Port Phillip Bay from Melbourne and we used ships tenders to disembark at the Geelong Yacht club dock where our busses were much closer to the ocean than had they been in the city of Melbourne. This worked to our advantage as we planned on spending the day exploring the Port Campbell National Park, by the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia. We were up at the crack of dawn to make a ten hour coach trip along the south coast. Long day. Too much time in the bus. Too little time to take photos. Too much time for lunch at a restaurant. We would have preferred more photo time and a quick stop at Macca’s (Mcdonalds.) As it was, we were the last boat back to the ship and got to dinner about 8:15, very tired. Ship was sailing before we finished dinner.

Gorgeous pictures!
Very unusual coast line… sounds like a long day but a good one as well.
Kin wants to know if you made it to that beautiful beach. Interesting geology.
Love the images, what a fascinating shoreline. Long lingering lunches for 50 people is a real draw back to yours. We had that situation in Vietnam and we were on a PHOTO TOUR!
