Dale’s pictures showed the sunny afternoon at the national park — for which we were very thankful because most of the day was overcast and foggy — so once again I’ll show you some of God’s amazing nature that was new to me and the countryside from the bus. This spider (and many like him/her) had made  a large web by the beach which I almost walked into. Every spider was curled up like this one. Why?

The morning was especially foggy which gave a nice feeling of mystery to the forest.

I’m not sure if there were koalas in these woods but when we were slowed up due to an accident later on Dale spotted one looking right at us from his tree. It made our day to see one in the wild and so shocked us that no one thought to get out their camera. Very sorry!

On a quick walk to the beach along the Great Ocean Road, which was built by WWI veterans as a memorial to their fallen fellow soldiers, I saw both white and black seaweed but not much else as its a very rocky coast.

We thought we had gotten a great picture of a sulphur crested cockatoo until we saw them everywhere but he is beautiful nevertheless.

After our hurried trip through the national park we enjoyed the countryside as we sped back to the ship in response to texts urging our bus to hurry up. Ships have schedules to keep, you know!
