Our captain checked the weather in the morning and made a course change in order to get us in to the respective sounds / fjords at the ideal time. The day began with a promising rainbow as the captain said that “we’re praying for good weather” and God answered with sunshine in both Doubtful and Milford sound where it is most often socked in and raining. We were delighted and thankful for sure!

photo being restoredIt was special treat to be able to get out on the 3rd deck for extra viewing room — when you weren’t eating some gorgeous food at brunch. But it was hard to know where to be because the beauty outside was changing every minute and you didn’t want to miss any of it but the food inside was calling you to put it on your plate.

Oh, how hard it would be to resist a bite of everything offered for brunch! The fjords and the gift of the rainbow would have made our day complete.
