The maximum occupancy refers to the Miami Cruise terminal entrance hall, not the ship. We were told that as many as 5000 passengers pass through this hall in a day for the huge cruise ships. Our ship only has 900+ passengers.
We are in Miami and we are onboard the beautiful Viking Sun. Thanks to Uber XL, no lines, big new SUVs and rapid transit to our motel and morning ride to Port Miami cruise terminal with our six suitcases. People were still waiting for cabs when I called Uber on my iPhone and got rides in less than five minutes. Amazing!

When we pulled up the porters were all lined up at the curb but we were the only vehicle unloading at 10:45 AM. Thought we had the wrong place. We literally walked into an empty terminal with dozens of people ready to assist us. We checked in, got our room keys in about forty five seconds and walked onboard the ship to wait for lunchtime. It doesn’t get any easier than this. We had lunch with Bob and Brenda Kerr our travel companions and when we finished, our rooms were ready and our luggage was delivered.
