Dale will show you a bit more. But here’s what I did see. The streets in this very modern Spanish city were deserted because this is a holiday. The university has lovely housing areas. And none of the graffiti that I saw was nearly as nice as that in Dakar 🙂

As we drove out of the city we were disappointed to find ourselves in dense clouds but the higher we went the more interesting it got and we were soon looking down on them as out of a plane and we enjoyed a beautiful sunny day up there. The hang gliders must have had an exciting ride down through the clouds.

Our drive to Mt Teide National Park included a stop where we were in a huge caldera which had a smaller crater inside it. The whole park is composed of volcanic material;  pumice, obsidian, various types of lava.

Mt Teide is the centerpiece of the park and the highest point in Spain. I couldn’t help but take its picture from several angles.

Brenda and I would have liked to have done some hiking in this unique place. But you can’t do everything.

And Mount Baker was basking in sunshine here waiting for you. Love the hang glider and the clouds.
