Rio De Janeiro, Brazil

I can’t help but wonder if “Janeiro” means “haze.” Rio weather was like the smog of Los Angeles and the steamy heat of Miami. It was so oppressively hot and visibility so low that the major sites were not attractive to us to visit. Oh well, it can’t be perfect everywhere. No postcard photos from Rio. I did get some shots of street art and a few cloud breaks from the ship.

Viking had a helicopter photographer taking shots of both our arrival and departures. They sure didn’t anticipate the hazy weather when they reserved the copter.
