We were on the first tender over to the island today. We quickly checked out the main street and then headed for the hills.

photo being restoredThere was, of course, no town here on Robinson Crusoe Island when Alexander Selkirk lived here and so Brenda and I got right out of town and followed his footsteps up to his lookout.
It was a lovely hike going only and always UP. He had a great view of the bay up there from which vantage point he watched for possible rescue. As we walked where he had walked it made us try to imagine what it would be like to be completely alone for that long. And even what it must be like to live now on this island of only 1000 people so far from any other civilization. We were glad we could see our ship down there.

Wow! Looks like it was an amazing hike. And that rainbow is incredible. What sweet gifts from our God!
God’s creation is breathtaking everywhere. We are blessed to be His children! Love to you both.
Ah… hiking your favorite thing to do! A perfect day outdoors for you and Brenda to enjoy… Nice to see your picture too.
Good to see you Jenni! Take care.
