So, here we are in the Thames at Greenwich for our last night of the cruise. We intended to spend the day at the British Museum but apparently Uber is on strike or some such thing so we couldn’t get a ride. We walked around Greenwich and I tried to take a few pictures just for local flavor. Some flavors wouldn’t be my choice…

photo being restoredThen we toured The Queen’s House which is between the Old Royal Naval College and the National Maritime Museum with a great view in both directions.

photo being restoredThe Queen could even see the city were she to come here, but it’s for the public now, not the Queen. I walked up the hill to the Royal Naval Observatory and got this nice view.

photo being restoredThe observatory is of course on the prime meridian and the old standards of measurement are there. In the Queen’s House the Tulip staircase is lovely as is the Armada portrait in its just restored splendor.
